"Let It Be Spring" Table Setting

Ahh...the sunny days of spring. We got a glimpse of it on the weekend, and it inspired me to set my table with a light, natural look, and just a hint of the green and sparkle that lies ahead.

A dining table set with simple but pretty elements is a wonderful boost to get us through a long winter and into the brighter days ahead. Add some inexpensive fresh flowers, and DIY a place marker. I used a paint-pen to monogram initials on eggs. Easy.

The cloth napkins are from Crate & Barrel, placemats, candles and wine glasses from IKEA

I used the occasion to refresh my small dining space (open to the kitchen and living room) as well. I recovered the seats of my vintage rosewood chairs a  quick little update. Remnant fabric and a staple gun is all that's required. I pulled two shelving units beside the table to display and store wine glasses, vases and mugs.

Sometimes, tiny tweaks to our spaces can produce unexpected joy and give our souls a refresh too.

Happy weekend everyone.
